Monterrey Mexico Museums
One of the greatest secrets of Mexico is to be found in the Museum of Mexican History, which is located on the grounds of the Monterrey Foundation and was opened on 30 November 1994. This complex forms an area known as the 3 museums, located at a viewpoint from which you can see the center of Monterrey. It has an art and cinema hall, better known as Cinema Nuevo Leon, an interactive museum with steel origins, where you will find a must-see attraction such as an art museum, a theater and an exhibition hall. The Museum of Mexican History is the oldest museum in Mexico and the second largest in North America. It is located near the Montersry Foundation.
It is also located in the Macroplaza and you will find an exhibition that shows the history of Mexico in the course of history, from its origins to the present day, as well as its modern history.
The Museo del Palacio has free admission all day, but check out the other two museums for the art and culture factor. The best museums are the Museos de los Muertos, the National Museum of Mexico and the Museum de la Ciudad de Mexico.
This is a permanent museum that is attractive to tourists and gives visitors a deep insight into the history and culture of Monterrey. Visitors can see priceless historical artifacts and listen to compelling stories about the past, present and future of the city.
Experience Mexican history, nothing beats the Museum of Mexican History as one of the best places to experience it in Monterrey, Mexico.
The leading contemporary art museum in Mexico has grown in size and scope, and while the MUAC welcomes visitors from around the world, particularly from the United States, Canada, Mexico and Europe, its programs are not being questioned.
In many ways, it is trying to fill the void left by the closure of the Monterrey Museum. Marco has 11 art galleries decorated with beautiful art and is one of the most important cultural centers in Mexico and the world.
The 20-foot bronze dove by Mexican sculptor Juan Soriano, which is located in the entrance area of the museum, is easy to recognize. Take a look at the sculpture of the dove that greets visitors at the entrance, as well as at the other sculptures in Marco's galleries.
Nestled in the vast Fundidora Park is an artificial lake called Paseo Santa Lucia, also known as the Santa Lucia Riverwalk, which is one of the most beautiful places in Monterrey. If you live there or have been here for a while and have absolutely nothing to do, this is the best place to visit and it is certainly the place you will visit if you want to spend an unforgettable weekend. There are a number of places you can visit in and around the city, whether you are on your way to or from Mexico City or even from other parts of Mexico, such as Guadalajara.
The most important green area of the city is the Parque de la Pastora de Guadalupe, where you will find a number of green spaces, such as the Paseo de los Hornos, the Santa Lucia Riverwalk and the Botanical Garden. If you prefer to visit an amusement park, you can also visit the observation deck of Mirador los hornos to admire the breathtaking views over the capital Nuevo León, or hike up the Paseos. Within an hour of Monterrey, you will find some stunning ecological attractions, including an important "Mexican city" flanked by the UNESCO World Heritage Site San Miguel de Allende National Park. In Bosque MA, one of the most popular tourist destinations in Mexico, Gico de San Luis Potosi is certainly worth a visit.
Most walks have the emblematic Cerro de Silla in the background, which you cannot miss in any photo during your visit to Monterrey. Macroplaza is so close to the city center that it is almost impossible not to meet it sometime on the way to Monterreys.
The central Macroplaza is home to some of Monterrey's modern buildings, including Ricardo Legorreta's architecture, which is well worth a visit. The collection, which competes with the collection in Mexico City, presents works by contemporary Mexican artists from all over the country.
If you're looking for something to do in Monterrey, you should visit some of the best museums in the city. If you only have time to visit cultural sites, I would recommend the MARCO Museum as it is one of the best things I have ever done. The Palacio de los Muertos and the palace itself are also worth a visit and complete the list of mandatory tasks.
Whether you're interested in art or not, this is certainly one of Monterreya's top attractions not to be missed.
The Monterrey area has much to offer for visitors who want to see Mexico's breathtaking northern desert and mountains. One of the most remarkable places to visit is the peaceful atmosphere and picturesque surroundings. Another of my top places I've visited is a boat ride through the square and park.
